New WERCC President and CEO Announced

On behalf of the Windsor-Essex Chamber of Commerce’s (WERCC) Board of Directors, Jason Ilijanic announced today that Rakesh Naidu has been appointed as the organization’s new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective December 12, 2018.

“Following an extensive executive search, I am pleased to welcome our new President and CEO, Rakesh Naidu to the team,” said Mr. Ilijanic, “Rakesh’s background and experience in a variety of senior roles over the past ten years (most recently as COO) at the Windsor-Essex Economic Development Corporation (WEEDC) coupled with his extensive skills make him a very qualified and deserving leader.”

“I am delighted that Rakesh will be taking over the helm of the Chamber. The widespread experience Rakesh brings in business, executive leadership and advocacy will be of great benefit to our members” added Janice Forsyth, Acting President and CEO.

Rakesh is a Chemical Engineer with a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management. As an ambassador of the Windsor-Essex region, he takes immense pride in the intrinsic strengths, achievements and diversity of the region.

“I look forward to advancing the strategic goals of the WERCC and to continue to create value for our chamber network, corporate members and stakeholders” said Rakesh Naidu.
